Our story will take you to the beginnings of the Sagano Romantic Train all the way back to time immemorial. Long before tracks were ever laid upon these lands, the Hozugawa river was transporting something very important. What could that have been? And what changes occurred during the Edo period? The train will travel along a scenic route as you learn its history. We’ll then travel forward in time, when this train began running along the tracks completed during the Meiji period. What tales of blood and sweat are hidden along this winding route? By listening to these stories as you enjoy the sights aboard the train, you’ll be able to see things in a brand new light.
